Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to La Costa Canyon High School (LCCHS), Home of the Mavericks. I am honored to be your principal and look forward to working with you as we continue to build on student achievement and prepare each student for success. I am looking forward to another great school year. The purpose of the letter is to welcome you to LCCHS and provide you with information regarding School Business Days.
At LCCHS, we are committed to building on a vision of student achievement where each student is connected to school through academics, clubs or extra-curricular activities. There are many ways to become connected and involved with LCCHS. Please take a moment to view our Program Guide to which includes programs and vision of LCCHS – an academic and extra-curricular powerhouse.
PROGRAM GUIDE
School Business Days allow for the opportunity to handle all registration paperwork conveniently. In addition to allowing you the chance to handle required paperwork, these days allow students the opportunity to purchase parking permits, pay for yearbooks, and take their mandatory LCCHS ASB card picture. School Business Days on the following dates:
Seniors – Tuesday, August 14
Juniors – Wednesday, August 15
Sophomores – Thursday, August 16
Freshmen – Friday, August 17
Please check our website for precise registration times.
If you are unable to attend your assigned School Business Day, please attend a Business Day that follows your originally assigned date. If you cannot attend any of the School Business Days, you will need to report to a station in front of the marquee before school on Tuesday, August 28, the first day of school. All students are expected to be in class on time by 7:40 a.m. every day. Please see the page that follows for bell schedules. Note: Back to School Night is on Wednesday, September 5, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Maverick Gymnasium. After a brief welcoming, parents will have the opportunity to meet their student’s teachers in classrooms.
